If you want to participate in Cypriot society, it's good to speak some Greek. Even if everybody knows English, it helps to form relationships with neighbours, shop owners, family members etc. if you can show an effort to say more than kalimera...
Each lesson focuses on a different topic, teaching the relevant vocabulary to help you get around. Our teacher, Rena Georgiou, uses a fun and individual approach that caters to everyone's personal learning abilities and concentrates on facilitating communication.
Don't be shy! Anybody is welcome to join our groups anytime. If necessary, we can arrange for 1-2 private lessons to get you onto the same level as the other participants.
The fee is 50 EUR per month.

Beginner (Tue 8:30-10:00 a.m.)
Here we teach the students the foundations of the Greek language, from the alphabet, basic grammar, useful vocabulary and everyday expressions. The goal is to quickly develop their knowledge in order to focus more on spoken skills.
Advanced Beginner (Tue 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.)
Participants know the most important verb declinations and a good amount of everyday vocabulary. We now continue increasing the vocabulary.
Intermediate I: (Mon 8:45-10:15 a.m.)
Participants know the present tense and are learning the past and future. They have a good range of everyday vocabulary. Our aim is to continue to grow each person's vocabulary and their confidence in conversing in Greek.
Intermediate II: (tbd)
In this group, the participants already have a good knowledge of the Greek language (present, past, future tense) and we focus on creating more complex sentences. The target is to become more fluent in speaking.
Advanced: (Tue 10-11:30 a.m.)
This group focuses primarily on more sophisticated dialogue as well as understanding more complex texts. The participants are able to hold every day conversation and express themselves in Greek.
